Hangul Keyboard Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes what information is collected and how it is processed when you use Hangul Keyboard (package name: com.hangulkeyboard.app, the "app"). Because the app works as an Android input method (keyboard, IME), we explain first how your typed content is handled.

1. How your typed content is handled (most important)

Everything you type is processed on your device by default and is never sent anywhere automatically.

• Spelling check, translate, and polish: only when you explicitly tap one of these buttons on the keyboard toolbar, the text of the current input field is sent to the developer's checking server. The text is used solely to produce the result and is never stored on the server. If you do not tap a button, nothing you type is transmitted.
• Password fields: these features are automatically disabled in password fields; passwords are never transmitted or recorded.
• Typing stats: only character counts are tallied on your device. The typed content itself is never stored, and the counts are never sent anywhere.

2. Clipboard & quick phrases

Clipboard history and quick phrases are stored only on your device and are never sent to any server. You can turn collection off or delete stored items in the app settings.

3. Custom theme photo

A photo you choose as the keyboard background is stored only on your device and never uploaded. It is removed when you pick another theme or uninstall the app.

4. Advertising and third-party services

The app shows ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded) via Google AdMob. To serve ads, the following information may be collected automatically by the advertising provider. Ads appear only on the app's settings screens — no ads are ever shown on the keyboard itself.

• Advertising ID
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size, etc.)
• Approximate location (IP-based)
• App usage and ad interaction data

• Google Privacy Policy
• AdMob data protection

You can reset your advertising ID or limit personalized ads in your device settings.

5. Payments (VIP subscription)

The VIP subscription is processed through Google Play's in-app billing. The developer never collects or stores your payment details. Payment information is handled under the Google Play privacy policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

Keyboard settings, themes, quick phrases, and typing stats are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Text sent to the checking server is discarded after the response is produced, without being stored.

7. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
